Emily Nomann
Veterinarian
DVM
Hi, my name is Dr. Nomann, and I am a veterinarian passionate about building lasting relationships with my clients and providing compassionate, high-quality care. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I love tackling DIY projects, spending time outdoors, and travelling to visit friends and family. I share my life with my wife, our two daughters, our dog Boo Boo, and our cat Dumpster.
Favorite Part of My Job
The most rewarding part of my work is building lasting relationships with my clients and their pets. Knowing that families trust me with the animals they love is something I take great pride in and never take for granted.
Why I Chose This Profession
I have always had a deep love for animals and a passion for medicine. Veterinary medicine gave me the opportunity to combine both — to use science and compassion to make a real difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them.
Education
I grew up in Southern California and moved north to attend the University of California, Davis, where I completed both my undergraduate studies and earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following graduation, I completed a small animal rotating internship in Santa Rosa, developing a strong foundation in emergency medicine, surgery, oncology, and internal medicine.
Professional Background
My clinical experience spans emergency medicine, surgery, oncology, internal medicine, general practice, and urgent care. I am passionate about building genuine connections with clients and delivering thoughtful, high-quality care to every patient I see.
Work History
After completing my internship in Santa Rosa, I spent several years working in general practice and urgent care in the Sacramento area. I am thrilled to be returning to Sonoma County — a community my family and I love and are excited to call home again.
