Paula R.
Inventory Manager/ Specialty Coordinator
Hi, my name is Paula, and I am the Inventory Manager and Specialty Coordinator at TruVet. I love being part of a team that is passionate about providing top-notch animal care — and helping both animals and their humans receive the very best.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I love camping, hitting the beach, enjoying the snow, and catching live music. I am a dedicated mum who cheers on my kids in volleyball and baseball, and I share my home with my partner, four sons, a 15-year-old daughter, one grandson, and Lucy, our lovable pit bull and German shepherd mix.
Favorite Part of My Job
My favourite part of my job is being part of a team that is passionate about providing top-notch animal care. I love helping both animals and their humans receive the best care possible — and knowing that the work I do behind the scenes supports that mission every day.
Why I Chose This Profession
After years in IT, I was ready for work that felt more meaningful and connected to something I truly cared about. Veterinary medicine gave me that — a field where every day has a real impact on the lives of animals and the families who love them.
Education
I hold a permit from the Veterinary Medical Board for Veterinary Assistance Controlled Substance, bringing a responsible and well-informed approach to inventory and pharmacy management.
Professional Background
My background combines veterinary medicine and IT in a way that makes me a uniquely well-rounded member of the TruVet team. In my dual role as Inventory Manager and Specialty Coordinator, I keep the hospital running smoothly and ensure our team has everything it needs to deliver exceptional care.
Work History
Before entering veterinary medicine, I spent 15 years in IT — an experience that gave me strong analytical and organisational skills that translate directly to managing inventory and coordinating specialty services. I have been with TruVet for several years and also bring five years of experience in general practice veterinary medicine.
