Registered Veterinary Technician

Hi, my name is Emily, and I am a Registered Veterinary Technician at TruVet. I joined the team in May 2024 and love being part of a practice that is full of learning opportunities and amazing colleagues.

Personal Hobbies and Interests

Outside of work, I love hiking, getting my adrenaline fix at amusement parks, and rocking out at concerts. My household is an exciting menagerie featuring a 12-year-old goldfish named Mr. Fishy and over 20 tarantulas!

TruVet is a fantastic place to work, filled with learning opportunities and amazing colleagues. Being part of a team that is passionate about animal care and always growing is what I find most inspiring.

Why I Chose This Profession

I have always loved animals and wanted to pursue a career where I could make a real difference in their wellbeing. Becoming a veterinary technician gave me the perfect combination of hands-on care and continuous learning.

Education

I completed the SRJC RVT programme and earned my RVT credentials in January 2024.

Professional Background

My background in general practice gave me a solid foundation in patient care, which I have been able to build on since joining TruVet. I am enthusiastic about continuing to learn and grow within the specialty and emergency environment.

I have four years of experience in veterinary medicine, beginning in general practice before joining TruVet's specialty and emergency team.
